Unforgettable Nashville Hotel Amenity That Blew My Mind

In my role as a food and travel editor, I often find myself staying in hotels across the South. While I’m aware of the privilege this entails, it also allows me to experience a range of accommodations and amenities. From customized pillow menus and well-stocked mini bars to spacious soaking tubs and poolside treats accompanied by packets of sunscreen, these small gestures can elevate an ordinary hotel stay into a luxurious experience. When selecting a hotel, we typically consider factors like location, price, and room aesthetics, as well as facilities like pools or gyms. However, it’s these thoughtful extras that leave a lasting impression, even years after a trip, rather than the number of treadmills or the presence of a hot tub.

One particular boutique hotel that has left an indelible mark on my memory is Noelle, located in downtown Nashville. While this amenity might not be perceived as a luxury by everyone, it sets Noelle apart in my mind. On each hotel floor, there is a hydration station offering three types of water on tap: sparkling, cold still, and “ambient.” Additionally, each guest room is equipped with reusable water bottles, allowing guests to hydrate without contributing to plastic waste.

Now, you might be wondering about the significance of “ambient” water. Well, it refers to room temperature water, which happens to be my preference, especially in the morning. Who wants a glass of ice-cold water first thing upon waking? Trust me, it’s not as odd as it may sound. However, there’s also a place for sparkling and chilled water. After a hot afternoon exploring Broadway, returning to the hotel and savoring a refreshing glass of cold water was an absolute delight.

Noelle boasts a stunning lobby with a rich history dating back to the 1930s, a delightful gift shop filled with locally crafted treasures, and several in-house restaurants and bars, including the charming Drug Store Coffee. Despite all these wonderful features, what truly resonates with me about my stay at Noelle is the simple pleasure of having access to delicious room temperature water whenever I desired it. It’s a small detail, but one that encapsulates the hotel’s commitment to thoughtfulness and guest satisfaction.
