Unveiling Fiji’s Solar-Powered Paradise: Luxury Resort and Electric Catamarans

Silent Yachts, renowned for its innovative solar-electric catamarans, is making a splash in the high-end hospitality industry. The Austrian shipyard has recently announced its plans to construct a luxurious, emissions-free resort in Fiji. This exciting news follows the successful launch of Silent’s first solar-powered marina and residences in the Bahamas just last year.

Situated on a private island in the enchanting Fijian archipelago, the second Silent Resort will feature a collection of eco-conscious beachfront residences and an impressive fleet of zero-emission vessels. Nestled amidst lush jungle and pristine sandy beaches, the resort will include 28 Silent Estate Residences with four, five, or six bedrooms, along with 14 two-bedroom Silent Marina Residences and 10 two-bedroom Silent Beach Club Residences. Managed by Silent, each residence offers a host of additional perks.

Owners will have exclusive access to Silent’s solar-electric tenders, speedboats, and catamarans, enabling them to explore the breathtaking coral reef. Furthermore, residents can take advantage of Fiji’s first solar-powered Silent Marina, dedicated solely to electric yachts. Alongside these aquatic amenities, the resort will provide a range of facilities, including an owners’ clubhouse, bar and restaurant, private beach club, and a fully equipped health and wellness center. The surrounding natural beauty of Fiji offers ample opportunities for hiking, walking, and biking excursions.

One of the standout features of Silent Resorts Fiji is the chance to obtain Fijian Residency by purchasing a property, granting residents the freedom to enjoy extended stays in the mesmerizing South Pacific. Currently, there are 24 founding memberships available, offering options for co-ownership or whole ownership, both of which include 24/7 service from the island’s staff. Silent Yachts founder and CEO Michael Köhler expressed the vision behind the resort, emphasizing that it provides the ultimate Fijian escape, seamlessly integrating solar-powered yachts with low-impact land-based infrastructure. Köhler envisions a private island paradise where owners can unwind and cherish unforgettable moments.

Construction of Silent Resort Fiji’s marina and beach club is scheduled to commence by the end of 2023, while the Bahamas location is progressing rapidly and expected to be fully completed by early 2024. Silent Yachts continues to redefine luxury and sustainability by creating extraordinary experiences that harmonize with the natural world, setting a new standard in high-end hospitality and yachting.
